The yarns, in both warp and weft, have been yarn-dyed - hence the "Dry Black YD". The yarns have also been dyed in such a way where the dye has only penetrated the surface, giving these jeans the ability to show wear rather quickly. With wear you will, therefore, see how the dye chips off were abrasions are applied, revealing the white core of the yarns. We love this denim fabric due to its great surface character and its ability to develop patina.
